Set of 4 African bark cloth in rich, warm, brown tones, all with fairly uniform coloration. Attractive and simple geometric leaf design embroidered in the central area of each via grass thread. Scalloped inset framing, plus perimeter edging, treatment created with the same woven grass thread. Acquired on a 1983 trip to Kenya. Stored safely in protective plastic. Was used as a very striking wall hanging in VT for a year, clipped to a long, flat strip of unfinished wood molding trim with a few inches spacing between each mat. Can also work as single accent mats, or placemats on a table. Can be gently hand washed, and ironed lightly thru a press cloth. DIMENSIONS: each is approx 17" x 16.5"
