Original authentic Antique (1900) Ashanti kente cloth from Ghana made of cotton and silk. This is a " Men size " cloth and measures approximately 120 by 80 inches and it can cover a king or queen-size bed. Ashanti ( Ghana -Ashanti Region ) Kente is a Ceremonial cloth that is handwoven on a horizontal treadle loom and put together by hand. A real piece of Authentic African art. Great condition, considered the most labor-intensive textile originally for the king. Photos are actual representations of the listing. Note: most of our pieces have spent decades at least on two continents. A small split, scrapes, cracks, and smell are a normal part of their patina attesting to their age and extensive use.
